Our Story

A minimalist's journey
BAREly Yours began with a purist's stubbornness. My intention was to return to the basics. No flamboyant colors, no overwhelming perfumes, no preservatives —just the pure art of soap-making with its three essential ingredients: oils, lye, and water. Anything else felt like a distraction. To me, our mission at BAREly Yours was to keep our ingredients simple but high-quality, at a bare minimum, and 100% natural.
A fragrant request, a mindful change
And then I started to notice a pattern... Customers would pick up a bar of my fragrance-free soap, close their eyes, and inevitably, a look of longing would cross their face. They were searching for a scent, a memory, an experience they felt was missing. My uncompromising philosophy was challenged. I realized that a sensory experience wasn't a flaw but a connection my customers craved. So, with a deep breath and a renewed commitment to quality, I began a new chapter.
The evolution of BAREly Yours
I embarked on a thoughtful search for a solution that honored both my values and my customers' desires. I found it in essential oils, which are concentrated liquids extracted from plants through steam distillation or cold pressing, not concocted in a lab. We introduced our fragrant soaps, and the change was felt immediately. That longing look in my customers' eyes transformed into pure delight. Eschewing artificial colorants, I turned to botanicals to lend color to my soaps naturally. The muted and earthy colors of our soap stand out proudly and are a testament to our philosophy of back to basics.
This wasn't a compromise of our values; it was an evolution. At BAREly Yours, our promise of a bare minimum remains, but now with a gentle, fragrant touch for those who seek it. We still carry my original, perfectly unscented line, honoring our roots, and those who delight in just the clean, natural scent of saponified oils.
Let’s explore the world of natural skincare together. We can make a difference—one bar of soap at a time. Welcome to BAREly Yours.
